Prof. Patrick Wang

Tenured Full Professor, College of Computer & Information Science, Northeastern University

Dr. Wang is IAPR Fellow & Chief Editor of WSP IJPRAI and MPAI Book Series. He has published over 120 papers, 23 books and 3 USA/Germany patents in AI, PR, Computer Vision and Web Design.

Professor Wang has served as iCORE (Informatics Circle of Research Excellence) visiting professor at Biometric Lab at Univ. of Calgary, Canada in 2006-2007 academic year, and Otto-von-Guericke Distinguished Guest Professor at Magdeburg University near Berlin, Germany. He has also served as Honorary Advisory Professor for several Universities in China, including Sichuan Uni., Xiamen Uni., East China Nornmal Uni. In Shanghai, and Guangxi Normal U. in Guilin. His main research interest include Artificial Intelligence, Pattern Recognition and Computer Vision. In addition to his technical interest, Dr. Wang has also published a prose book and many articles on Beethoven and Mozart’s symphonies and Bizet and Puccini’s operas.
